PVC Guardrail Installation

Background:

When someone speaks of pedestrian guarding they often don’t speak of innovation in the same sentence. This is starting to be challenged as flexible plastic guardrails have come to market. These guardrails allow for the same protection of steel but with greater durability to impact, reducing replacement costs significantly. 

Problem:

During a recent visit with one of our customers, they mentioned that they were looking for some guardrails to separate the production area from the adjacent warehouse. Separating the two areas was important in helping production and safety. They wanted to use standard steel guard rail but was concerned about damage. The guard rails would be located in a high traffic area. Traditional steel guarding bends and stays bent when hit with heavy equipment such as a loaded cart or a fork truck.

Solution:

Recently we had just become dealers of an innovative plastic guardrail product and the timing couldn’t have been better for our customer. We suggested  the flexible PVC Pedestrian Guardrail, which is just as strong but does not remain bent after contact.  After viewing the product video the customer was convinced this was a product worth having in his plant and so we quoted the necessary guardrails. The price was in line with what he was used to paying for standard steel guard rail that would require constant repair and replacement.

Installation:

Once the order was placed the product was shipped and arrived on site in one week. The customer installed the product with little disruption to their daily routine. The customer was impressed with the product and will be using it for future guardrail applications throughout his facility.
